Myth: I Am Sexually Liberated

ELIZABETH ROSE

I have foregone with my usual quotation for this post. This is because this is a serious topic, it is close to my heart and shouldn’t be taken lightly.

You see at the core of today’s topic is that of sexual equality. This is the true test of feminism – equality in nudity.

You see, my sisters in smut, I believe we have been betrayed by our own quest for dominance and by our own desires to finally have the upper hand in the bedroom.

No longer are we expected to lie back and think of England it’s true. Now we have more avenues to our enjoyment and orgasmic satisfaction. But at what cost?

Now, to be sexually appropriate I should be plucked and waxed to a degree resembling a prepubescent child. I should don something lace and exciting which costs more than most’s average monthly salary and then I am expected to perform daring acrobatic feats while not breaking a sweat, all accompanied by a pleasant moaning soundtrack.

This is not what the suffragettes marched for. This isn’t why bras were burnt. So how on earth did our quest for sexual liberation bring us to the path of almost slavery to popular lusts? Is it for our own satisfaction? I doubt it. could it be some terrible conspiracy enacted by the male dominated media? Unlikely.

I think we all just lost our way.

So I suggest this – give up shaving your legs for a month or two. See if it makes a blind bit of difference to your sex life. It won’t. And that is truly liberating!

Elizabeth, somehow I can’t see you giving up shaving your legs for a month. I have trouble imagining you not triming let along not shaving!
You will have to post pictures by way of proof.

I can’t imagine not shaving exposed skin in my body, but that’s way to go Elizabeth.

But what makes me cringe reading your writing is knowing that out there, there are LOTS of women who doesn’t know what they want in bed.
Let alone getting it exactly the way they want it.
And mostly the reason that came by the ear was, “Because I’m scared it will frigthen my partner.”

As if there is only one partner for each of everyone in this world!

WELL SAID!!

I have for a long time been of the opinion that shaving and plucking are primarily for my benefit! What my partner thinks is of interest to me, but I will do what I want to myself when I want to. If I turn up with hairy legs, no make up and in my jogging pants then thats what he gets, and if I turn up made up and as smooth as a baby’s ass then great…. it simply means that I had half an hour to spare on myself which is a rare treat.
All this aside, can I say that my partner still finds me attractive even at my most dishevilled (or so he says) and that makes me feel like a real woman each and every day. For that I am very lucky, but then why would I settle for anything less. It’s my choice isn’t it!
