I’ve learned more about swinging, polyamory and non-monogamy in the past year than I had in the previous 20. And you know what? I still haven’t wrapped my brain around it all. I mean, I understand the nuts and bolts of these relationship categories but some of the various permutations seem hyper combustible. But then again, whose relationship isn’t? And if I’m honest, I’ve long harboured doubts about my ability to do the whole lifelong monogamy thing.

So what is a man to do?

Well, a man does what comes naturally and in this case that means do a little research. Which means Google. And YouTube. So check out the following videos** which delve into non-monogamy and polyamory and be sure to visit us this month as we further explore the many ways in which humans can (and do) construct their romantic and sexual relationships.

**I had to watch the beginning of the first video twice before I fully understood who was doing whom. But I’m probably just slow on the uptake today.  And spare a moment to read some of the comments. People sure can be judgmental about other people’s relationships. You’d think that polyamorous couples are preventing children from going to college or that non-monogamy leads to a life of crime or something.

I still don’t get the concept of polyamory.
Does it mean that lots of little L adds up to one big L?
No wonder I failed in maths back then at school.

I do, however, believe in swinging around until you find a good tree to hand around to, though ;)

It’s nice to see you guys are still around! :)
