ELIZABETH ROSE
Men always want to be a woman’s first love. That is their clumsy vanity. We women have a more subtle instinct about these things. What (women) like is to be a man’s last romance.― Oscar Wilde
What do men want?
Oscar had a fair idea but is it really as simple as all that? Men in their vanity just want to be first. To plough virgin territory, to be the first to hear a woman’s murmurings of pleasure or whispers of love.
In the past it’s seemed very simple – fuck him and feed him. Or more often for me, care not a jot for what he might want. So this theme is a bit of a quandary. What does a man want? I have spent little time trying to figure this out as for the most part my infinite self centred nature asks only what I want.
For my compatriots here at Met Another Frog I would ponder any mystery and delve into any riddle. But…
This one just doesn’t interest me. Besides my natural wont to be utterly self obsessed – I’m also a feminist and so I’m keen to balance the age old imbalance that we all bend to the desires of a man. But I digress. I did try with this one, in spite of my own preferences. However, I found myself lacking. I have no basis in my own history, nor is there anything of any use or insight to be found in the magazines or online chronicles which suggest they have the answers.
Speaking of answers, have any of you seen Prometheus? Apparently same script writer as Lost. That link is about all that made sense to me. Completely bewildering plot and utterly confusing twists. But likely the most accurate comparison I could give for figuring out what it is men want. I haven’t a clue. Nada. Nil. Zilch. Zip. It’s all nonsense to me, a blow job one night, a fricking poetry reading the next. Utter mystery.
I suppose in that way they aren’t much dissimilar to us ladies.

I think you’re on to something there with the blowjob…
… then again, I just really really want to get laid right now. So… yep. We may not be that different, or that complicated. We just try really really hard to be. Why? Now there’s a question I am at a loss to answer.
