The real Charlie Tango:
If you read 50 Shades of Grey, then you know all about Charlie Tango. For those of you who haven’t read the book, Charlie Tango is an EC 135 Eurocopter. One of the safest in its class.
Charlie Tango is your standard, traditional vibrator. It’s good for using by yourself or with a partner, and it’s best used for penetrative stimulation, although, I would only use it vaginally and recommend that you not use this anally due to its lack of a flared base. This is just your average vibrator that is probably most appealing to fans of the book.
The Charlie Tango is completely smooth and cool to the touch. The name Charlie Tango is written along the shaft of this vibrator. Even though this text is not raised, you can still feel that it’s there when you run your finger over it. I’m honestly not sure what the name is written on there with. It could possibly be painted on, and if that’s the case, I wouldn’t doubt if it started to chip off after a while. On the base of the toy it says “50 Shades of Grey”, and as you can see, it’s already starting to rub off.
Shape & Size
As I mentioned before, Charlie Tango is a standard, classic vibrator. It’s exactly what one would expect a vibrator to look like. The size of this vibrator is probably most appealing to those who are just experimenting with sex toys or looking for something simple. The total length is 7 inches long with 6 of them being insertable. Charlie Tango’s widest point is 3 1/4 inches in circumference. This vibrator is probably not the best choice for those who like a lot of girth. The head of this vibrator is gently tapered making it very comfortable to insert. I don’t consider it to be discreet due to it’s popular and well-known shape, but it is something you could easily travel with.
Functions & Controls:
Charlie Tango takes 2 AA batteries. To insert that batteries is just like any other traditional vibrator. Unscrew the base, insert the batteries (positive end first), and then screw the base back on tightly to ensure that it stays watertight. To get Charlie Tango going, simply twist the end of the base in a clockwise direction to increase the level of vibrations. This is a really easy toy to use and it can be easily figured out. There’s no patterns to scroll through and there’s no buttons to mess with.
The quality of the vibrations are pretty decent considering it’s a battery operated vibrator. It really depends on what kind of vibrations you like whether or not you like the Charlie Tango. The vibrations can be slightly felt throughout the entire toy but they are strongest closer to the the tip of the vibrator. Charlie Tango actually offers a nice rumbly vibration but it doesn’t get all that strong, at least not strong enough for my liking. The Charlie Tango is just barely a 3 out of 5 in intensity. With not a lot of power, comes not a lot of noise. It’s pretty quiet when being used on the highest setting and I doubt anyone would be able to hear it through a closed door.
Cleaning & Maintenance:
This classic vibrator is 100% waterproof and can be used in the shower, bath, pool, or jacuzzi. Since it’s waterproof, that makes it a very easy toy to clean. I use my favorite toy cleaner, but you could also wash it with a mild soap and warm water. I’m always wiping it down with toy wipes because I hate the fingerprints, they make it look really dirty. You can use Charlie Tango with water-based or silicone-based lubricants. I like to use a warming lubricant since the material of the vibrator can sometimes get be little cold at first.
Charlie Tango comes nicely packaged in a recyclable, indiscreet cardboard box. There is a brief description about the toy on the back of the box, but it’s also included with a small insert that tells you how to insert the batteries and use your toy. There’s really no need to keep your packaging because Charlie Tango comes with its very own 50 Shades of Grey satin storage pouch.
