I recently discovered a friend of mine on twitter, Juliette Turrell has become a published author. I am a frequent visitor to her blogs and hugely excited for her! I enjoy her writing so without hesitation I popped across to Amazon to download her new book, Summer Storm and Other Stories.

Summer Storm is published by House of Erotica. The book is made up of a selection of short stories and poems.

The book is described as sexy erotica, it certainly is: A woman determined to get what she wants, a steaming hot car and a ravaging storm. A tense wedding all because of an irresistible man in a kilt. The roof tops of Venice filled with the melodic sound of a classical violin, a balcony with an exquisite view. A rowing boat with a passionate stranger, a bet that goes slightly awry. A voyeur, tempted beyond his expectations, sweet revenge pressed against plate glass. Exploration and temptation, Summer Storm and Other Stories will make you feel the passion, heat and desire they contain. 

I settled down with a glass of wine to read one, maybe two of the stories and my kindle was forcibly ejected from my hands and dragged to bed close to midnight!

Many of the short stories I read, either in blog or e-book format leave me feeling that I wished the writer could have developed the story further, given the characters more depth or background, or that they finish it off too soon, or conveniently. I normally prefer my downloads to be longer, I want to delve into something smutty and I want it to satisfy my craving for filth both in lenth and girth. However despite Juliette’s stories being short the attention to detail, fabulous descriptions and the style in which she writes give them the ability to stand alone, without the need for expansion or a whole novella to convey the relationship between the characters, its history and its future.
Her short stories are exciting and bold, the story lines novel and interesting and the sex, well it’s hot, you might say sizzling. It more than definitely satisfied my erotica needs!
As an added benefit the length of the stories means that they are perfectly long for a soak in the bath, on the bus to work or as an erotic nightcap- although I can’t promise sleep will be the first thing on your mind!

I hope that Juliette continues to write her beautifully crafted erotica, I will certainly be purchasing her future works.
